/|Why The Lab existsTwo years of watching what happens after week six

You don't stop growing when class does. Neither does your org.

What we kept seeing

Momentum dies after the cohort.

You finish a program with energy. Two weeks later you're back in your inbox. The Lab is the rhythm that keeps you building.

What we kept seeing

Building alone goes stale.

You miss patterns. You overbuild. Here you bring what you're stuck on and leave with a sharper path, with every program in one room.

What we kept seeing

You know how fast this stuff changes.

Models ship, apps update, the ground moves. We surface what changed and what to do about it, as it happens.

This isn't the programs again. It's added capabilities, for you and your agents.

And it isn't all AI. Sales, content, the human side of running the thing. If it makes you or your org better, it belongs here.

Things are going
to get weird.

No agenda. No slides. This is our unplanned time at the bleeding edge, with every program in one room, and you're there while we find out where it goes.

01There is no plan. On purpose.Whatever shipped this week, whatever Tyler found at 2 AM, whatever just broke. That's the session.
02We see where the world is leading us.A new tool, a new model, a strange idea. We open it live and find out what it does.

/|Season oneWe need to see what works

This is season one. The rhythm will move.

The Lab is brand new. We're running it with you to find out what works, so expect it to change from month to month.

What may change
  • The kinds of sessions. More of what you show up for. Less of what you don't.
  • How many we run a month. Could be more. Could be fewer and better.
  • The days and times. Experts and vendors come when they can.
What won't
  • You're covered through December.
  • Every session is recorded.
  • The calendar on learn.aibuildlab.com is always the current one.

Your part: tell us. More of this, less of that.

Agent Native Essentials. Everybody does it.

The eight Essentials lesson cards on learn.aibuildlab.com
Why it's step one

Everything we release in The Lab assumes you have a workbench.

Essentials is where you get one. Whatever program you came through, whatever you've set up before, start here.

What it is

Eight short lessons. Two you read, six you do.

Free, on learn.aibuildlab.com. You leave with a private workbench, a copy online, and proof it picks up where you left off.

/|  Essentials07
/|The installerEssentials lesson 3 · one prompt · it checks first

Setup is one prompt. Here is what happens, and where people flinch.

01You paste one prompt.Into your app, with your home folder open. That is the only thing you type.
02It checks first. What your computer already has. Installed, hidden, or missing. Nothing changes yet.
03It shows the plan and asks once. One reason per item. You say yes. It does not ask again per tool.
04It installs what is missing.A short list of standard tools. Your computer asks you to approve a few of them.
05Two sign-ins, in your browser.GitHub, then the app. A code appears, you paste it there, you come back.
06Your workbench is created.Private, on your machine and on GitHub, in your name. It tells you how to open it.
Where people flinch

Your password. The terminal opening. A browser tab.

All three are normal. Your Mac asks for your password, Windows asks to allow changes. The terminal is a chat window for your computer. If it feels new, you have a superpower.

Safe to run again

Half-finished? Paste the same prompt.

It checks first, so it picks up where things stand.

How a program arrives

Into the workbench Essentials built. Never a second setup.

Every program and every Lab drop lands in its own folder inside the same workbench. You set up once.

Your folder

Programs add to it. They never write over you.

A drop lands beside your work, not on top of it. Your note, your files and your history stay exactly as you left them.

Slack is where we hang. It is not a help desk.

What it's for

Hanging out. Chatting. Sharing breakthroughs.

What you shipped. What broke in a funny way. The prompt that finally worked. Questions that come with what you already tried. Helping the person one step behind you.

What we fix, fast

Anything that's ours.

A prompt that's missing. A drop that doesn't do what we said. A link that goes nowhere. A perk that won't claim. Tell us in the channel and we fix it for everyone.

What it isn't

There is no ticket number.

No help desk. No one-to-one debugging in DMs. No "quick question" that is secretly forty minutes. Your setup, your customisations and your 11pm "why won't it" are yours to fly.

The deal: we keep the good stuff coming. You keep your wheels off.

hello, IT?not us
/|  House rules12
/|How this worksLargely self-serve · on purpose

Fly, little birdie. The training wheels come off here.

The Lab is a membership, not an intensive. We hand you the assets. You and your agent take it from there.

01Stuck? Ask your agent first.Paste the error. Say what you expected. It has read more manuals than all of us put together.
02Ask it again, better."Explain what went wrong like I'm new. What are three things you'd try next?"
03Still stuck? Post in the Lab channel. What you tried, what your agent said, one screenshot. Someone has hit it before you.
04Keeps coming up? Request a session. When lots of you hit the same hairy problem, it becomes a lesson. Request it in the Lab channel, upvote the ones you want, and the top ones get a Tuesday or Friday session.
Why we do it this way

Your agent is really, really smart. Pointing it at your own problem is the skill.

If we work it out for you, we've taken the lesson off you. Learning to use superintelligence to get unstuck is the whole game.
